Compassionate Support for Your Family

My journey has always started with a deep love for children. I first chose to study Primary Education so I could be close to their everyday world of learning, play and discovery. Very soon, I felt a strong need to stand beside children with disabilities and learning difficulties, and to help them be fully included in school and in the wider community. This led me to further studies in Special and Inclusive Education, and to many years of working with families who are navigating extra challenges. Over time, my interest naturally moved towards the emotional world of the whole family. I wanted not only to support children, but also to understand and care for the system around them – parents, siblings and close relationships. This is what brought me to Systemic Psychotherapy and to creating Helia Counselling: a space where children, parents and families can feel seen, heard and gently supported, together.
